This Saturday, from 12pm-2pm at Buck Park in Millville (right on the waterfront), DePalma Realty will be co-hosting, along with the City of Millville and the HCDC through the Neighborhood Preservation Program, a FREE educational event to spread the correct information and to introduce people to the team they can use to make a plan to become homeowners. A study, published in April of 2023 by the National Association of Realtors, showed that homeowners, on average, have 40x more wealth than those that rent. Speaking on the study, NAR Chief Economist Lawrence Yun said: “This analysis shows how homeownership is a catalyst for building wealth for people from all walks of life. A monthly mortgage payment is often considered a forced savings account that helps homeowners build a net worth about 40 times higher than that of a renter.” We will have professionals from the Real Estate Industry, Mortgage Industry, Tax, and Title Industry present to provide information and speak on their various roles in the homebuying process. There will be free food provided by Everything Classie Sweet Soulful Café, music to enjoy it with, and plenty of opportunity to ask questions and learn about what it really takes to go from tenant to homeowner. If you are a tenant or just someone with a dream of homeownership, simply show up to the event, eat some great food from Everything Classie Café, listen, learn, and meet the people that can help you make the dream happen for you and your family.
